İMAT Accessories began its manufacturing journey in 1993 by producing hinges and handles to meet the growing demand for window accessories driven by the rapid development of the PVC window industry. In 1995, the company established its own mold workshop, and by 1997, it had evolved into a fully equipped mold production center capable of CAD/CAM-based, computer-aided plastic and metal injection mold design.

In the same year, through technical cooperation with a German company, İMAT established its metal processing department and a fully automated espagnolette production line. In the following years, the company further developed its metal processing capabilities, expanding its production to include locks, locking espagnolette systems, and various auxiliary accessories, while also exporting its products to Germany.

In 1998, in addition to the metal processing department, a metal casting division was established, marking the beginning of aluminum door and window handle production.
